At both Public House locations, we'll tap four Anthony's Pacification Russian Imperial Stouts: 2017, 2019, 2020, and Barrel-Aged 2020. We'll line them up for you on a paddle, and you can sip your way through the years. 🍺 The 2019 Anthony's won Silver at the LA International Beer Competition, and Silver and the Best of Craft Beer Awards. We're really looking forward to seeing how the two vintage beers have aged.

Overall Impression: The famous Old Fashioned cocktail comes to mind when sipping on this high ABV strong ale. It is a strong, full-flavored American ale that challenges and rewards the palate with malty, citrus, bourbon flavors, and subtle bitterness. The flavors are bold but complementary and are stronger and richer than average strength ales.
.
Aroma: A bright aroma of orange citrus is noticeable upfront. Moderately malty with some notes of caramel, toffee, vanilla, and bourbon from the oak cask. Slight alcohol aromatics may be noticeable.
.
Appearance: Deep copper in color. Moderate-low off-white head. Good clarity. Alcohol level may present “legs” when the glass is swirled.
.
Flavor: Orange citrus notes upfront. Medium to high dextrinous malt with a full range of caramel and toffee flavors. Low to medium toasty, bready, or Maillard-rich malty flavors add complexity. Notes of vanilla, oak, and bourbon in the finish. Very low hop bitterness. Alcohol presence may be noticeable.
Mouthfeel: Medium body. An alcohol warmth may be present, but not be excessively hot. Medium-low to medium
carbonation.
