STYLE: Marzen/Oktoberfest Lager

Our head brewer, Matt Burkhardt, has a passion for brewing beers that demand technical excellence and Marzen is right at the top of his list. Bierleichen presented an opportunity for him to express his love of challenging styles while crafting our take on a beer that is loved the world over.

As for the name, the term literally means Beer Corpses in German. Also known as beer zombies or sleeping drunks. This word is used to describe someone who as consumed so much beer that they pass out at the table.
