Miracle on Rolla Street – a Holiday Pop Up at the Rolla Brewpub

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and the Rolla, Missouri Brewpub, aka Miracle on Rolla Street, is decked out to the nines in celebration. The Brewpub staff came together the Sunday after Thanksgiving – tinsel was hung, lights were draped and wrapped, and the tree required a ladder to assemble and decorate.  Public House artist, Travis Watkins, added original flair with several pieces of holiday movie art – The Grinch and Cousin Eddy to name a few. It is a sight to behold, and one to make even Clark Griswold’s eyes gleam! The biggest event of the season, Merry Firkin Christmas, is this Friday, December 17, 2021. Head Brewer Matt Burkhardt and his team are tapping four small-batch beers – one each hour, on the hour – beginning at 6:00 pm.

The Beers –

Josh’s Pineapple Ginger Shandy – Tapped at 6:00 pm
Jason’s IPA – Tapped at 7:00 pm
Matt’s Christmas ParTea – Chai Tea Porter – Tapped at 8:00 pm
The Team’s Norton 42 Barrel-Aged Gose – Tapped at 9:00 pm

Enjoy this magical Merry Firkin Christmas evening, snap a photo, post it on your social media with an @ mention shout out to us, and you’ll be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $25 gift card!

Events, Beers & More

We’re excited about thawing out and keeping things fresh for you by releasing new beers, planning events, and updating dine-in services! Here’s what’s new:

🍺 BEER

  • Flynn’s Irish Red Ale hit taps and shelves across Missouri and Kansas earlier this month. The malt-forward, toasty flavors of Flynn’s help to warm us through these winter days. Read the Flynn’s story, and find it near you here.
  • Best Ever Irish Red Ale, in its commemorative St. Pat’s in Paradise package, is really going places this year! You can find it on tap and on shelves across Phelps County, and [drum roll, please] we can ship Best Ever to your Missouri home or business address! To read more about the beer, click here. To have Best Ever shipped to you, click here.
  • 12th Round Porter hits hard with its roasty character and restrained bitterness. It’s been a while since we’ve crafted a Porter, and this one took our brewers all the way to the 12th round to perfect. This new Porter is available on tap, in six-packs, and in the Variety Pack across Missouri and Kansas. Read more, and find it near you here.
  • IPA Rotator Series has been a lot of fun creating, drinking, and sharing! This series is where our now year-round Dry Fly was debuted. The next IPA in this series is Bounce, a Citra-forward 7.5% ABV American IPA. Bounce is out now across Missouri and Kansas. You can read more about it and find it near you here. Next up in this series, Southern Horizon is a beer fresh out of our R&D program. Brewed with some of our favorite hops from the Southern hemisphere, you’ll see it hit taps and shelves in early spring. In the meantime, check out the amazing label art by Travis Watkins here.

🍽️ DINE-IN

Our staff will maintain increased sanitation practices, and tables will remain 6 feet apart. There is no longer a limitation on group size. The food and beer menu is available on a QR code, and on a sanitized, laminated menu as requested. Carryout services remain available with convenient ordering on Chow Now.
  • The Rolla R&D Brewpub, with its smaller footprint, will retain more conservative health and safety measures. At this location, most food and beverages will be served in dinnerware and glassware, respectively. We’re not going back to full table service or opening up bar seating just yet, but we plan to soon. Increased sanitation processes, masked staff, and daily symptom checks for staff will remain in place. We encourage you to wear a mask while not eating and/or drinking. Public House Brew News

Public House Brew News

What a year it’s been! We have worked harder than ever to bring you beers and events you can get excited about.  In the spirit of adaptation, ingenuity, and creativity, 2020’s seasonal, limited release, and small-batch beers have each been nothing short of amazing.  In fact, two of these beers will cross over and become official year-round Public House offerings!

Dry Fly Session IPA, with its hop-forward profile and clean finish, joins the ranks as a year-round beer. Quickly rising up as a customer favorite, Among the Willows Pilsner Lager has shot its way to the year-round lineup, too.

As our brew system and crew can manage only five core beers, Hide and Seek Hefeweizen and Frisco Amber Lager will no longer be year-round beers.  This was a tough decision!  We have a strong adoration of Hide and Seek, a classically brewed German Hefeweizen we introduced you to when we first opened the Pub. Frisco’s strong American classic lager taste and strong character won our hearts years ago.  For a limited time, you can still get these Public House classics in our current Variety Pack.  And yes, they’re fresh! The brewery kicked out a fresh batch of Frisco just last Friday.

Even in the wake of a pandemic, Public House Happens. Thank you for adapting with us these past seven months.  Thank you for supporting our patios, our package, and our pints.  We appreciate each one of you! We feel very fortunate for your support.  Prost!

COVID-19 Policies

Our Most Distinguished Guests,

In light of the recent COVID-19 concerns and as we welcome you back, Public House Brewing Company has adopted more stringent policies in regards to the way we will proceed in serving our valued guests. As always, our guest’s health and satisfaction, as well as our employees, is our number one goal on a daily basis. This will always be the case. To ensure that we are doing our part in complying with CDC recommendations, Phelps County Health Department’s ordinances, the State of Missouri’s mandates, and, in some cases going above what is recommended, we are installing the following measures or until further notice:

  • Public House Brewery is now a self-serve restaurant and bar. Please approach the designated area
at either the inside bar or the outside bar for ordering. Please adhere to the designated markers
to practice safe social distancing of 6 feet or more. When your order is ready, you will be paged to
pick up your order at the bar.
  • According to the policies set forth by the Phelps County Commissioner’s Office, we will only
allow parties of 10 guests or less at the same table.
  • We have limited seating due to the occupancy ordinances set forth. All tables are distanced at least
    6 feet apart.
  • If on a wait or all seats are filled, we please ask that you give the manager your telephone number,
wait in your vehicle, and we will text you when seating is available. Congregating in the lobby and/or
outside our front door is strictly prohibited.
  • Public House Brewing Company, due to staff limitations and supply chain issues, has gone to a limited menu.
  • We offer only compostable silverware, napkins, condiments, and paper plate ware.
  • Beer will primarily be served in a glass.  Other beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, may be served in plastic cups till further notice.
  • Every hour on the hour we as a staff will sanitize all high touch objects and surfaces (door handles,
    faucet handles, menus, etc.)
  • As always, handwashing procedures per the Phelps County Health Department will be followed
    religiously.
  • All staff is required to wear masks, covering the mouth and nose, and gloves.
  • As per the City and County mandates, all customers are required to wear a mask, except while eating or drinking. Face coverings must cover the mouth and nose.
  • We are also available for online ordering through ChowNow, which is an app-based ordering
system. You can download the ChowNow app on your phone today for curbside or carry out or feel free to reach us at one of the following numbers:

Thank you, always, for your continued patronage to our fair business and please stay patient with us as we navigate through this unprecedented period of time. We believe that, if we stay the course and work as a team, we can provide a safe, experience for our guests. With your health and safety as a top priority, we’re continuing to adapt to the recommendation of the CDC and other health organizations. Our goal is to maintain an environment that exceeds the health and experience expectations of our guests and staff. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
